I’m a seasoned UX researcher + leader who loves building products + teams.
I’ve spent the past two decades as a UX researcher and
I am the product of displacement and grew up in two vastly different places: Kuwait City and Southern Illinois (you can read more about that here). My unique background and personal story has shaped how I view the world and the people in it. I’m just as comfortable conducting research in a rural Mid-Western home as I am in an urban apartment in Tokyo.
Before grad school and UX research, I spent several years building and designing websites.
Outside of work, making things feeds my soul … whether that’s drawing and painting, cooking and baking, or building Lego sets. I’m currently attempting to learn photography (I took all the photos on this site) and experimenting with making my own cold brew coffee. And I’m fanatical about Sarah McLachlan, Peloton, and Hello Kitty.
What I bring to a team …
As a leader:
Trusted leader and partner to design, product, and engineering teams + leadership.
Proven track record of building research programs and practices from the ground up on teams with little to no prior research presence.
As a mentor and people manager:
Commitment to building diverse, psychologically safe teams.
Dedication to mentoring, coaching, and supporting UX researchers.
Amplifying my team’s work and giving them visibility across the organization and to leadership.
As a researcher:
Nearly two decades of shipping consumer products at Google, Microsoft, and Samsung.
Expertise in qualitative UX research. My specialities include immersive field research, longitudinal research, and international research.
Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.
